蒙顶茶

蒙顶山是中国茶文化发祥地,茶文化圣山,川藏茶马古道的起点。西汉时期,茶祖吴理真就在蒙顶山栽种野生茶树,开始了人工种茶的历史。唐宋是蒙顶茶的极盛时期,更从唐玄宗天宝元年被列为贡品,并作为天子祭祀天地的专用品,一直沿袭到清代,历经一千二百多年从未间断。

Mengding Tea

Mengding Mountain, the start of an ancient trackway from Sichuan Province to Tibet, is known as the cradleland of tea culture in China. It is said that Wu Lizhen,the founding father of tea, has grown tea on the Mountain since the Western Han Dynasty, or about 2200 years ago. Mengding-produced tea was the most popular in Tang and Song Dynasties, and was even chosen as a tribute to the royal families in the year 742. The emperor took it to pay tribute to the holy heaven and earth, and the tradition has remained in the following 1200 years until the feudal empire was overthrown for good.
